I would go wiht a chesnut brown if you have dark brown or blonde hair or a light red if you have dark or medium brown hair. Best of luck!

I think you'd hate it. Personally, I think light brown hair with blonde highlights is beautiful. Black is very harsh and severe, and only looks good on certain complexion types. Also, I don't know how old you are, but dyed black hair is very aging. If you were born with black hair and are fairly young, it would be okay. But I'd keep your present shade as I think it would be much more flattering for either blue, green or brown eyes, and fair or light olive skin.

Absolutely! That would be gorgeous! The thing is, don't try to do it yourself -- go to a salon, otherwise you may end up with a "blonde" that isn't as pretty on you as it could and should be. Traditional dyes have a scale of light -dark that really isn't made for reliable results on those who have red hair. Red hair has it's own scale, but there aren't traditional hair dyes for making blonde highlights on red hair. You'll want to get a blonde shade that is more golden in tone, rather than ashy. An ashy blonde won't match as nicely with your hair since you have a warm tone (anyone in a salon will know this, you don't have to tell them) -- it would make your skin look dull. I wish I was doing your highlights! I bet you'll look so pretty! :)

YES YES YES... as would darker red "lo-lights"....I have red hair and I put in at least 3 colors when I do my hair. It gives it a natural look. Even the stylist wanted to know if the color was natural. I change up the look according to the season. Darker for cold weather, lighter (like bronde highlights) for summer. Yes, it would be pretty, but not natural. It depends how like your hair is, you don't want dark blonde highlights though, you want light blonde highlights in light blonde hair for a cuter look.

I did highlights on a 12 year old strawberry blonde not too long ago. It turned out beautifully. Her mom praised the job because the highlights were very natural looking, not being too much brighter than the light red natural color. The girl liked them because she could really tell something had been done to her hair, something to break up the red. The highlights brightened her up and made her look like she'd been to the beach.

i'd say so, it might not look the most natural but adding light brown lowlights would probably add depth and make it look more natural, it will also minimize the frequency of a need for touchups. hope this helps! you'll look great good luck!!!

It wouldn't look natural. Perhaps strawberry blonde would look nice, keeping with that warm color. Blonde itself might be too harsh or too different, unless that is what you are trying to achieve.

it looks like she used medium blonde hair dye. I have dark brown hair and blonde dye does that to my hair, the best colours for brown hair depend on your colour pallet; if you have a cool colour pallet then go for a light light blonde, kind of white, streaks. If you have a warm colour pallet then go for red and honey colours. Hope this helps.

So, if I'm understanding, you want your highlights darker than they currently are? If so, you could get some semipermanent hair die the shade you want your highlights to be and use that over your whole head.

I would usually say Red/auburn highlights. If you are darring, you could try a medium Blonde highlight. Please don't go platinum on Dark Brown, it will look very skunk-ish.

Beige highlights - blonde highlights will turn out more orange then blonde. I know this from experience as I have dark brown hair. Definitely go beige!!

If you have lighter brown hair go with the blonde, but if it is med-dark brown go with the carmel. Highlights should only be about two shades lighter than your hair color.

I have medium brown hair and I got blonde highlights and I am very happy with them. After a while they started turning a little darker into almost a carmel color. I got the best of both colors! =) Why not have your cake and eat it too?

umm carmel if you got dark brown.but if you go a light brown go for blonde.because i have dark brown hair and put bolnde stricks in and it faded really fast and then i tried carmel and it worked alot better
