I think you'd hate it. Personally, I think light brown hair with blonde highlights is beautiful. Black is very harsh and severe, and only looks good on certain complexion types. Also, I don't know how old you are, but dyed black hair is very aging. If you were born with black hair and are fairly young, it would be okay. it looks like she used medium blonde hair dye. I have dark brown hair and blonde dye does that to my hair, the best colours for brown hair depend on your colour pallet; if you have a cool colour pallet then go for a light light blonde, kind of white, streaks. 1, make sure you want the black because its the hardest color to get rid of. it is easier to go darker then it is to go lighter.

the bleach was ether to weak or not left on long enough.you can get rid of them by using a non peroxide

no ammonia temporary color. but before you do that see if different parting of the hair will cover it up

I have mine that way, and I love it! Be careful with the color of blond you go with though, don't go too gold, white etc. Make sure they don't put them directly in the front, if you put your hair in a pony tail you will have a blond line like a skunk! (personal experience)

I got light blonde highlights and at first it looked really good (so yes, they do look hot) but then the color started to fade and it looked like I had white highlights! My hair started to fall out a lot as well, so I just want to say that, whatever you do, take care of your hair and use the right products.

This is a very tricky question. However, I realize its important to you, right? I mean who wants green hair? However, I have known several lifeguards who highlight their hair and some ended up with green tinted hair and others didn't. Messy ponytails, french twist, banana clips, regular big clips put near the top back of your hair, braids, pigtails, scarves ... the list is endless... Just go to the dollar store and get an assortment of barrettes, combs, clips, bands, etc. and have fun!

or you could put it in one long braid or french braid it.

um... pull your hair into a ponytail with one holder and some closed hair pins like ten at tops and twist your hair into a bun and put a couple of hair pins in it so through out the day it will fall out a little start to look messy.

Go to a beauty supply store and buy a rinse. Ask the person in the store for a rinse not black it will make your hair an awful color. A rinse is easy to put in your hair. It is not permanent color it will just tone down the blond. Clairol has some you might like. Remember to only buy one that is not permanent. Read the box carefully. this will last a while depending how often you wash your hair. this should help. If you have african american hair try dark and lovely

start off you will have to eventually grow out the highlites...when highlighting you have just removed all the pigmentation....to reverse it you would have to use a filler before putting in a color...then only suggestion is to see a stylist who could do this for you....

Oh, I've done that too!! lol......But you will either have to live with the results or you can color it yourself by buying a hair color dye that is near your regular color (dark brown)..OR...You can just keep trimming it until it has grown out.........Good Luck

They will go fine together. But be careful. If it's not done right you could turn those Carmel highlights into pink highlights. Also because you are adding the red you have to be careful of what you wear. Pastels are a definite no. Just find someone who knows what they are doing and it should look great. Good luck.

normally caramel is an ash color, but ash is hard to get from natural black. natural black will pull red to make caramel more red than ash.

carmels, reds, and browns look great together if done bya professional ...they can help map out the color blocking so it dont look choppy

Don't use a color remover, you'll only make it worse. Simply use a Demi color in your natural level (Darkness) and color over it. You may still see some of the underlying copper pigmentation but it shouldn't be too bad.

Bleaching the hair strips the pigment out. What ever color you have left from bleaching is your natural color minus pigment.

The best suggestion I can give is to tone the Bleached hair back to your natural hair color or to a color that has an ash base tone

The ash base tone will conteract the brassiness and cool it down to a natural highlite. Try a lever 09 ash or 10 ash for blonde highlites

or just get a color that is the same as your natural Color

You do realize that she did just say she was contemplating highlights, right? No where in her question did she say she would dye her all of her hair! I think that you should also take into consideration the amount of time you have before the wedding. You don't want it to be less than two weeks away because if you don't end up liking it, you'll pretty much be screwed. I think to be on the safe side, you should start more subtle and slightly increase the highlights to your liking. If the wedding is more than a couple weeks away, you at least have a chance to let the highlights fade a little or have them redone. Good luck and have fun at the wedding!

I think you would look good with red hair. But dying yourhair might not be the best thing to do. Nope, the colour may look great, but going from black to blonde is chemically impossible...that is too many levels for the de-colourizor to lift. Trust me I have tried 1000 times...Your hair will break off and break apart, and will comb apart, etc. Not worth it. Unless you have Asian hair, my little sis is 1/ 2 Vietnamese and I can bleach the **** out of her hair...and it keeps on kicking...But use caution with de-colourizor and thicker hair, everyone has different hair..

NO. DO NOT DO IT. I have black hair too, and I once made the mistake of adding more than one color and it looked like a mess. The most is to add one color, maybe brown or red, and maybe different shades of it as highlights. Do NOT dye your whole head because it will look artificial and gross.

bleach basically does act as a stripper for the color... to get caramel colored highlights id sugest the tannish colored bleach and a 40 volume developer..the high number developer will help "strip" the color from your hair and the tinted color of the tannish bleach will put the tannish caramel color in your hiar... that is if you do it at home.. you didnt specify.. but yea you can do it right away

You can also buy a shampoo called a Touch of Silver (it looks purple), which helps tone down the brassy colour each time you wash x

frosting is for guys, where its just the ends of their hair coloured. highlights are foils. if you are doing the foils yourself, my guess is it wont be strawberry blonde, but rather go orange. so i'd suggest you go to a professional. plus, they are two very opposite colours. i would suggest having lighter foils like that, would look better if they were under your hair, so the blonde isnt on top of your head, in your face. it will just shimmer through all the ends.

if you have brown hair and use blue semi-permanent dye, you'll end up with a bluish/greenish tinged brown. to get the blue to show up fully, you'll need to bleach your hair to a very light platinum blonde first. if you don't, or have yellowish blonde after lightening, you'll end up with a more greenish blue.

if i remember correctly (its been a while since i was a hairdresser) it depends on what color blue. if you have dark hair it is hard to use semi permanent color on. i tried giving my friend maroon highlights and you could only see them in the sun. kind of a waste if u ask me. you may want to consider an alternate way to get the blue in your hair. or even ask someone who has it done

Go to a hair supply store and find the right product - most people it is no closer than a month per harsh treatments (dying, perming, etc.). Sometimes you can simply add a rinse and get rid of the color you don't like without harming your hair. I would ask the clerk or a hair dresser to know for sure.

By African American, I'll assume you mean you're black. If you are, then your hair is very delicate to colour and therefore be extremely cautious on your timing. As for what colour would best suit you...stay in the warm tones. Anything red, copper, caramel...and so on. If you go off warm, it'll look too fake, but if that's what you want...something to stick out, then try add-ons. They're inexpensive, removeable and reusable. You can mix and match too. Anyways, if you colour, condition well. Have fun!

After dying my hair all blonde, I didn't like it so I proceeded with highlighting it allowing some of my natural color to come back while staying blonde. I like it blonde but not 100% so. Typically, I use a cap but I wanted to see if I could do it WITHOUT the cap. I started from the bottom%26amp; gradually worked my way up while making streaks on every layer. The results are horrid. My hair is now way too blonde (doesn't look highltd which I prefer) and parts are orange!

1st QUES: How should I go about fixing my hair? Is there an easy way to do so? Should I re-do my highlights by first lightening up the orange parts, then make few very fine streaks of color thats close to my natural color? Or should it be done the reverse way...ie...dark first then blonde?

2nd QUES: The cap works well but is outdated, takes too much time %26amp; the roots don't get completely covered. There must be a simpler way to highlight my hair; what is it?

I'm open to any and all ideas you might have! PLEASE!!
