OK i used to have highlights in my hair and let me tell u i couldn't wait for them to grow out. i hated the keeping up with them every 6 weeks and the constant roots. If your hair is as pretty as it seems don't get highlights i wish i would have stayed natural. Getting highlights also drys out your hair.

My girlfriend says bright red looks awesome with black hair, they stand out really well. But, if you don't want to get noticed that much you gotta lighten your hair if possible to a brown then add mild red or dirty blond undertones.

Start darker and work your way up to the lightest shade. Go for reds, as blonde colors will tend to look orangey.

a red, one that's not too shocking. red hightlights, especially in really dark hair, will make your hair look really nice and it'll bring out your eyes, no matter what color they are.

a caramel color. one of my friends has carmel highlights in her black hair and it and look 10 times better. Especially if u hv brown eyes the carmel just..i dont know it just blends good.

You should get red underhighlights. My cousin is a hairstylist and it's a new thing, they highlight underneath and it looks great. Or just color the ends of your hair.

Maybe a lighter brown will even look good, think of what you think would flatter your face/skin.

burgendie..is a good color...another one if your skin color is like tan..you should try cobrizo..thats a nice color too....also red....good ones for the tan skin color!!!!
