I have dark blonde hair with light blonde highlights and i want to gradually go back to my natural color....how do i get rid of the roots? would i graduallly get darker blonde highlights everytime i go?help school's almost starting!!

If you want to go back to your natural color you have to fill the blond and color to the natural color. I would go to a stylist for this. You have to put the colors back in the blond before coloring it back natural. If you just put an all over color on your hair the blond will show a muddy or green tone to it.
If you want you can get a partial hi-light done with a slightly lighter color than your natural in order to hide the lighter blond until it grows out completely. But then you have the other color that is going to grow out and leave you in the same boat.
